Health & Safety Policy

Commitment to Safe and Responsible Production

At Autumn Works Ltd, we are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and supportive working environment for all crew, clients, talent, and third-party partners. Whether filming on location, in studio, or in public spaces, health and safety is embedded into our production process from pre-production through to delivery.

Statement of Intent

Autumn Works Ltd is committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and welfare for all employees, freelance collaborators, clients, and the public who may be affected by our operations. We aim to create a safe and healthy working environment on every production, both on location and in the studio, by complying with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation.

We will:

  • Identify and manage health and safety risks associated with our work.

  • Provide safe equipment and working conditions.

  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) prior to each shoot.

  • Ensure employees and collaborators are trained and competent to perform their duties safely.

  • Review and improve our practices regularly.

Arrangements: Practical Measures

Risk Assessments
RAMS are completed prior to every shoot, covering activity-specific hazards such as location risks, equipment handling, drone use, working at height, manual handling, and environmental conditions.

Training
All crew receive pre-shoot briefings. Key personnel (e.g. drone operators, camera crew) hold appropriate certifications and insurance. Additional training is arranged as required.

Incident Management
We maintain an incident log and implement follow-up actions. Serious incidents are reviewed by directors.

Insurance
We hold full Public Liability and Employers' Liability Insurance.

Contractors and Freelancers
All third-party crew are expected to read and comply with our RAMS. Copies are distributed in advance and reviewed on-site.

Monitoring and Review
This policy is reviewed annually or following any incident. The next review is scheduled for May 2026.

Crew & Collaborator Safety

We work with a network of experienced freelancers and collaborators who are briefed on each project’s specific health and safety measures. All personnel are expected to:

  • Follow site-specific safety instructions

  • Report any hazards or incidents immediately

  • Contribute to a culture of accountability and respect on set

COVID-19 & Public Health

We maintain up-to-date health protocols based on government and NHS guidance. Where necessary, we implement additional safety measures including lateral flow testing, PPE, and reduced crew numbers.

Continuous Improvement

Health and safety is not a one-time checkbox, it is an ongoing responsibility. We review our policy annually and after every major project, incorporating feedback from clients and crew to improve future procedures.
